With today being Cinco de Mayo, a celebration that has taken a life of its own in the United States (because it's not highly celebrated in Mexico like in the U.S.), it's natural that the day is acknowledged by our leading politicians. After all, no one wants to appear insensitive or out of touch with 64% of the Latino population.

As a member of the largest minority ethnic group and a member of the media, I am continually puzzled and outraged by the idea that anyone can say anything about Latinos without fearing any consequence. While it would be out outrageous for anybody to have said a similar thing about an elected official of almost any other ethnicity, Rush will certainly not receive any heat at all..

Why is no national Latino leader capable of commanding the same kind of following as Obama? One obvious answer is that Latinos are not a homogenous group. Cuban-Americans, for instance, have interests a world away from those who came to the USA via Mexico. Try finding one voice for these two groups.

While the media is busy catering to the press releases on Gov. In an ironic twist of logic so glaring that only the Bush administration would be unable to recognize its cognitive dissonance, the administration announced today that it will use its authority to bypass more than 30 laws and regulations in an effort to finish building 670 miles of fence along the southwest U.S. border.

I will support whoever the Democratic nominee regardless of who it is. As I talk to people from all over the country most, if not all, of Hillary supporters agree with me but only about half of Obama supporters tell me the same. It makes me pause.

Today Obama called for Clinton to release her tax returns so people can see where her 5 million dollars came from. A nasty attack from the guy who hates nasty attacks.

In the ObamaLandia the hit on Hillary is that she is in bed with corporate interests and he is not. She is evil and he is pure. The recent Obama inference without proof that Hillary is getting money from nefarious sources feeds the divisive dragon that Obama has stealthily unleashed against Clinton for over 10 months. Apparently Obama now feels strong enough to launch the attacks directly. To a certain extent at least the directness is an improvement.

Since the day I was born, I have been surrounded by strong women. I was raised by a single mother, have married a strong independent woman who has blessed me with two beautiful girls and now I’m trying to raise them to pursue their dreams no matter how big, and become future leaders.

Senator Hillary Clinton courted the Latino vote for almost a full year and last night Latino’s saved Super Tuesday for her. Yesterday over 70% of Latino voters overall endorsed the Senator from New York. The casa that Hillary built could not be stormed by the Knights of Camelot, charmed by anglicizing “Si Se Puede” or persuaded by Spanish language ads. This is important and here is why:
